R. T. Dixon?] has declared that Falmouth has been the most interesting yachting centre west of Cowes.  Most interesting races have been held two or three times a week and the little craft so evenly matched that the least error in seamanship has robbed the leader of the race. The Sunbeams created a very pretty spectacle as they “jockeyed” about before the start. <I>Little Lady</I> won an excellent contest with 3 minutes in hand, <I>Berthe</I> being second.</div> <div> <I>Little Lady; Berthe; Flame; Una; Trent; Maranui; Merrythought; Halcyone</I>.</div> <bR> <div> FP Friday July 24, 1925: <B>Yachting</B> - <B>Falmouth Competitors at Plymouth</B></div> <div> Several Falmouth yachts have been competing at the various Regattas which have been held in Plymouth during the week. At the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Regatta on Tuesday [21 July] Falmouth Sunbeams (one-design) Class. First prize £5, 2nd £3, 3rd £1.</div> <div> The inside course was used three times around, about 12 nautical miles. This class provided particularly keen racing, less than 3 minutes separating the boats at the completion of the first round, when <I>Little Lady</I> was 13 seconds ahead of <I>Una</I>, which was only 12 seconds ahead of <I>Berthe</I>.  At the end of the second circuit, <I>Little Lady</I> was still to the fore and, with <I>Una</I>, had drawn slightly away from the remainder, <I>Halcyone</I> lying to the rear. With a freshening breeze the boats gave a fine display and provided one of the best races of the day. When they completed the first circuit, only seconds separated them.  <I>Halcyone</I> had a slight advantage during the second round, but the remainder came in a bunch. They passed too close to Drake's Island, in view of the state of the tide, so much so that <FONT SIZE="2" COLOR="#FFCC66" FACE="Arial" ><I>Una</I> and<I> Berthe</I> took the ground</FONT>. <I>Berthe</I> got off again in  minute or two and continued the race, but <I>Una </I>was not so fortunate.
