The [RCYC] Club Regatta on 9 August, 1912, in the race for craft under 30 feet Sirena (G.S. Long) was first, Sally ( S.L. Tresidder) second, Colleen (C.V. Downing) third, and C.R. Corfeld's Pixie brining up the rear. Sally, built for Major Richardson in 1904, was bought by S. L. Tresidder in 1912, Richardson having had Susan, a larger craft, built for him. Sally and Susan were both built by Jackett and designed by Harley Mead. [Mead, History of the RCYC 1871-1949, p.105]

The Club Regatta took place on 15 August. Sula (Guy Simmonds), the only yacht entered for the class for yachts over 35-tons, raced with the under 32 feet boats, coming second to Carlotta (A.R. New members during 1913 included Herward H. Tresidder, [Artist, and father of Jim Tresidder], J. Harley Mead and Norman Lanyon of Flushing. These three became prominent in the club's affairs. [Mead, History of the RCYC 1871-1949, p.109]
